Christians Regarding Hell

I’ve heard the claims from believers that we send ourselves to the “lake of burning sulfur” if we don’t give Jesus a kiss.  They assure that God holds no responsibility for tossing us into eternal torture.  So, then how do we just waltz into the bottomless pit?  When we “die”, and find ourselves become roasting, black marshmallows, who enabled that descent?

Obviously, Christians also state God is giving us the responsibility to choose between Jesus and eternal death.  Fine, like I said before, anything but torture.  Yes, Jesus I accept you, because… because… no thanks to permanent misery, as I’ve already had a tough life as it is.

Anyway, what of this?

2 Peter 2:4 King James Version: “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

I don’t like that God.  Nor the pseudo-King here, either:

Matthew 13:41-42 King James Version: “The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and they will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I like God, instead.
