God is not there to present that ticket to heaven, assuring you follow “his” will. That type of behaviour is merely representative of society, where if you do your assignments correctly, the rewards will be heaped. God wants you to do any said labour for your own benefit, and need, thereof. You will be able to participate in the community as a whole, just like when you help out with your friends and family.
Of course, there is heaven to come, yet it is not some type of reward to be given. It will exist because God wants all to have a beautiful life, forevermore.
